Two weeks after launching Unite For The Cure, collectively we have raised over $10,000 towards our goal of raising $100,000 by the end of November 2009. Unite has 17 extremely motivated “Uniter” families on board with commitments from several more families that we look forward to announcing soon. We are confident that we’ll reach our goal of motivating 20 families impacted by SMA to commit to Unite For The Cure to help fund Dr. Keirstead’s promising SMA stem cell program to and through human clinical trials as quickly as possible. Each and every single one of us should be very proud of ourselves; there is work to do, but these are both amazing and unbelievable accomplishments.
